Working with Peter

I am a highly capable professional proud to be a pioneering practitioner of online osteopathy.

Peter

I received my Master of Osteopathy degree from the British School of Osteopathy in 2011 and I also hold a diploma in sports massage.

I firmly believe healthcare should be about the whole person and therefore I take a holistic approach when dealing with my clients. This accords with the fundamental approach of osteopathy which seeks to diagnose the cause of pain through analysis of a person's entire body and lifestyle, not just an isolated symptom.

I am a skilled structural osteopath who uses a variety of techniques which are tailored to each client’s particular needs, including functional and visceral techniques. However, the way I practise is directed at more than mere symptom management: it is my intended aim to empower clients through understanding the nature of their diagnosis and the anatomy involved to support them in self-managing their rehabilitation, because prevention is better than cure. Therefore, I provide each client with recommended exercises to reduce the likelihood of re-injury and to promote general well-being.

I find it hugely rewarding to see the number of different people that osteopathy is able to help. I have treated a wide range of clients of all ages in a variety of clinical settings, including expectant and new mothers, babies, children, the elderly and those with sports injuries. Outside of clinic work I have also undertaken volunteer work treating children with emotional and behavioural difficulties at an inner-city school in London. I have also lectured in both Germany and the UK on osteopathy in pregnancy and on research methodology.

I have a special interest in treating mothers during pregnancy and post-birth: I believe that although pain is commonly associated with pregnancy, especially musculoskeletal and digestive symptoms, it need not be endured and can be effectively treated by an osteopath. I also specialise in the prevention and treatment of sports-related injuries.

I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council and I am also a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
